MyNovel is an independent South African publishing service helping authors with editing, proofreading, book formatting, cover design, publishing support and practical self-publishing tools. We work with both local and international authors who want professional, affordable help taking a manuscript from draft to publication.
MyNovel was founded following the retirement of Mike Grobler, who spent eight years at Malherbe Publishers helping to build and develop the publishing business. With a strong background in website design, sales, social media marketing, database management, proofreading, and editing, Mike now brings that experience to this new venture.
Although recently retired, the passion for publishing and storytelling remains very much alive. MyNovel was created as a collaborative platform to support authors, polish manuscripts, and promote independent publishing with professional care and attention to detail.
The MyNovel team brings together experienced editors, proofreaders, publishing specialists and marketing support professionals who share a commitment to quality books in both English and Afrikaans.
Mike is also a published author of the novel Shithead Lockdown and Quantum Entanglement, known for its sharp wit and candid humour. His decades-long love of literature continues to inspire the work done at MyNovel.
